About Course

The human spirit was designed by God to thrive in communion with His presence. Just as plants are sustained by sunlight and water, the believer’s inner man was created to flourish in an atmosphere of daily fellowship with God. From the very beginning, man’s identity, clarity, and strength flowed from being connected to God. In the Garden of Eden, Adam’s spirit was fully alive because he lived in an unbroken relationship with the Creator. But when man sinned, that divine connection was severed, and his spirit was plunged into darkness and death.

This disconnection from God is what Scripture calls spiritual death—not the end of existence, but the absence of divine life. It is what Jesus came to reverse. Through His redemptive work, anyone who is born again is not just forgiven; they are made spiritually alive. Their human spirit is recreated by the Holy Spirit and restored to fellowship with the Father (John 3:6; Titus 3:5). Yet, just as physical life requires oxygen, food, and rest, spiritual life requires sustenance, and that sustenance is found in daily devotion.

Devotion is not just a religious routine; it is the lifeblood of the believer. Through prayer, we communicate with God, aligning our hearts with His will, submitting our thoughts to His truth, and engaging heaven for intervention on earth. Through the study of the Word, we nourish our minds and spirits with divine wisdom, guidance, and power. The Bible is not just a historical document; it is living, active, and transformative (Hebrews 4:12). It washes the soul, renews the mind, and sharpens discernment. And it is meant to be consumed daily.

The enemy of your soul knows that a disconnected believer is a defeated believer. That’s why spiritual laziness, distraction, busyness, and even guilt are some of Satan’s most common tools to hinder Christians from building a consistent devotional life. But the Spirit of God invites us into daily intimacy, not out of legalism, but out of love. Like manna in the wilderness, God’s word and presence must be gathered daily. Yesterday’s devotion cannot sustain today’s warfare.
